That is what makes the question unanswerable for an author: training that has aged shows nothing. It simply keeps teaching the old threshold, the old procedure, and nobody notices - not you, and not the learner applying it. Your module knows where it came from
Every document used to build it stays listed inside the module. That link finally exists somewhere: your document repository has no idea which training was built on it, and your LMS has no idea where the file it was handed came from.
It warns you, so you don’t have to watch
Every night, documents tracked by link are re-read. If one has changed, or is no longer reachable, you get a single summary message - one, even if six documents moved across three modules. The comparison looks at substance rather than the file itself: a document re-saved without a content change triggers nothing, otherwise nobody would read the alerts any more.
Learners can see how far back it goes
The opening slide carries “Content approved by so-and-so on … - Sources re-checked on …”, in all six languages. It is the one thing that travels with the SCORM package dropped into your LMS: even far from the app, the module states its age. Editing the content clears the approval, because the approval was about that version.
Worth being clear: only documents added by link can be re-checked. An uploaded file stays listed, but it isn’t kept after being read - we don’t hold a copy of your documents on our servers.

The module cannot teach a neuromyth (learning styles, left brain versus right brain): the instructions forbid it and an automated check verifies it every time the tool evolves. The figures and thresholds it quotes stay the ones in your document. And if you turn on web search, each slide shows the pages it relied on - you can even restrict the AI to a list of sites you approve.

At the end, the learner downloads an action-oriented aide-mémoire to keep at the workstation: the rule to apply and the mistake to avoid for each objective, plus their own points to watch.
